The agency is structured around four departments:
Responsible for ensuring the compliance of all medical and non-medical applications of ionizing radiation sources with the legislative and regulatory provisions of radiological safety and environmental protection.
Responsible for ensuring, in coordination with the departments concerned, the compliance of all activities implementing nuclear and/or radiological materials with the laws and regulations on nuclear safety and compliance with international nuclear security obligations, as well as the implementation of the terms of the safeguard’s agreement between Morocco and the IAEA and the additional protocol.
Responsible for ensuring compliance of all nuclear activities and facilities and radioactive waste management with nuclear safety legislation and regulations, but also for promoting a national nuclear safety culture.
Responsible for the administrative and financial management of AMSSNuR in compliance with regulatory processes and acts, the preparation and monitoring of budget implementation, and ensuring, in an integrated and optimal manner, the availability and development of human capital, technical, logistical, and financial resources necessary for the implementation of AMSSNuR’s programs.
