Scientific Committee

The scientific committee is composed of five personalities chosen by the Chairman of the Board of Directors on the proposal of the Director General of AMSSNuR, and this is because of their scientific and technical skills.
The members are appointed by the chairman of the board of directors for a term of three years, renewable once.
The Scientific Committee has been set up to carry out the following tasks:
                  Opinion

To give its opinion on the programs of activities of AMSSNUR in relation to scientific research, vocational training, and education in the fields of nuclear safety, radiation protection, radiology, the management of radioactive waste, and other subjects related to the exercise of the agency’s            regulatory functions.

                  CONTRIBUTION

Contribute alongside AMSSNuR to the evaluation of its actions in relation to national orientations and international concerns in research, training, and education in the fields of nuclear and radiological safety and security.

                  Proposal

Send to AMSSNuR proposals for the development of its activities in relation to the above-mentioned areas, considering its missions and the elements of the national and international context for nuclear and radiological safety, security, and safeguards.

                  SUPPORT

Support AMSSNuR to acquire the necessary knowledge to strengthen the national regulatory system.
