Rabat, 2 July 2026 – The Moroccan Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security (AMSSNuR) convened the first meeting of its Audit Committee for 2026 at its headquarters in Rabat. The session was opened in the presence of Mr. Reda NOUR, Secretary General of AMSSNuR.
Established under the authority of the Agency’s Board of Directors, the Audit Committee is one of AMSSNuR’s governance bodies created pursuant to Law No. 142-12 on Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security and the establishment of the Agency. Its activities are further governed by the provisions of Law No. 69-00 on State financial control over public enterprises and other public bodies, as well as by the Moroccan Code of Good Governance Practices for Public Establishments and Enterprises. Through its work, the Committee contributes to reinforcing transparency, strengthening internal control and promoting sound governance and accountability across the Agency.
During its first meeting of the year, the Committee reviewed progress made in the implementation of AMSSNuR’s internal control framework, examined ongoing improvements to management and governance tools, and considered the findings and recommendations arising from the internal and external audit engagements carried out during the previous financial year.
By overseeing the effectiveness of internal control systems, risk management and governance processes, and by monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations, the Audit Committee plays a key role in strengthening AMSSNuR’s institutional governance and reinforcing its credibility as an independent nuclear and radiological regulatory authority.
