On the occasion of the closing of the national training course on nuclear security involving high-activity radioactive sources, held from 9 to 12 February 2026 at the Training Centre of the Moroccan Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security in Rabat, in cooperation with the Office of Radiological Security of the United States Department of Energy, a ceremony was organized during which Mr. Saïd MOULINE, Director General of AMSSNuR, presented the first certificates to participants.

A Training Centre to place skills development on a lasting footing

Although this workshop marked an important milestone, it forms part of a dynamic already under way: AMSSNuR’s Training Centre has been launched and operational since January 2026, within a structured and sustainable approach dedicated to strengthening skills.

The Training Centre is intended to provide a permanent framework for developing the technical, regulatory and operational capacities of the various stakeholders concerned. Through specialized programmes, practical workshops and international partnerships, it will help embed a culture of nuclear safety and security consistent with the most exacting international standards.

At the closing ceremony of this train-the-trainers course, Mr. Saïd MOULINE underscored the importance of capacity building and the promotion of professional excellence. “The Training Centre is an essential lever for the continuous enhancement of skills and for supporting beneficiaries towards sustainable professional integration. It reflects the Agency’s firm commitment to human capital,” he said.

Le CFA ambitionne de devenir un pôle de référence en matière de formation, en s’appuyant sur des standards internationaux et sur les meilleures pratiques en matière de pédagogie appliquée, combinant enseignement théorique, retours d’expérience et exercices de simulation. The Training Centre aims to become a benchmark hub for training, drawing on international standards and best practices in applied pedagogy, and combining theoretical instruction, lessons learned and simulation exercises.

Through the Training Centre, AMSSNuR reaffirms its determination to contribute actively to skills development among national stakeholders, relying on continuous training, pedagogical innovation and its cooperation portfolio.

This institutional structuring therefore marks a significant step in the implementation of AMSSNuR’s strategic orientations and responds to a clear imperative: to anticipate risks rather than suffer their consequences.
